DESCRIPTION

A Scottish horn snuff mull, the lid inset with a Cairngorm. A Cairngorm is a type of smoky quartz found in Scotland. The horn is mounted with a silver shield. Circa 1810.

CONDITION

The horn has scratches to the surface. The silver mounts are not hallmarked. Where the cairngorm is set in to the lid there are some small dents.
